Can someone clarify what is exactly expected of the problem (pasted below) ? Thanks.

Question 6.25:

Prove the form of the multinomial theorem given above.

At the beginning of the handout the multinomial theorem is stated without proof. The purpose of this problem is to give a proof of that theorem. You can do something similar as in problem 6.5, which is a proof of the binomial theorem.
