If I understand correctly, you got $6 + \dfrac{5}{6} \approx 6.82$, however, 

$$6 + \dfrac{5}{6} = \dfrac{36}{6} + \dfrac{5}{6} = \dfrac{41}{6} = 6.8\overline{3}$$
