I missed three class of winter Math Challange I-C  and in the live homework recording Mr. John didn't go over it. I don't get problem 2.24 and 2.26.

Thank You.

Also I can't submit my homework for the first 2 classes.  What should I do?

Thanks, Bober Yang

We've opened the first two assignments again for you. Please make sure to view them some time before they close again on January 5th at midnight. Once they close again you should be able to see all solutions to the problems.

Here are some hints for problems 2.24 and 2.26.

On problem 2.24 you want to show that if $a^2 + b^2 = c^2$, and $k > 0$, then $(ka)^2 + (kb)^2 = (kc)^2$, so if $(a,b,c)$ is a Pythagorean triple then so is $(ka,kb,kc)$.

For 2.26.a, consider the following diagram:

For 2.26.b consider the following diagram:
