In video lecture 5.1 for the intensive precalculus course, at 12:10, we got that sin^2 (Θ)=1/5. Then, Mr. Reynoso said that sin (Θ)=±1/5. Shouldn't sin (theta) equal ±1/√5 because you have to take the square root of 1/5?

Thanks for pointing this out. You are correct, it should be $\pm \dfrac{1}{\sqrt{5}}$, and not $\pm\dfrac{1}{5}$.
