The question said to find x but k is a range of numbers that works how would find x do I plug in intergers and solve for x or what should i do?

Your answer should have two portions: (i) the range of values of $k$ that work, and (ii) the value of $x$ (which will be in terms of $k$) that solves the equation. Note $k$ is not necessarily an integer.
