The solution says that since the incenter is that same as the centroid of an equilateral triangle, 

AG = BG = CG = 6, but isn't that considering the circumcenter and not the incenter, which would be tangent at the midpoints of the equilateral triangle?


So would not GD = GE = GF = 6, therefore making the answer 54?
