This is more of a technical question rather than a "How do I do this" question. Part B asks for the probability of pin landing on a multiple of 45 (within 360 degrees). Now in the description, it says the pin doesn't have to land exactly on the integer. Does that mean that the multiple can also be a decimal? Anyways, sorry for making this so long. Have a nice day! For this question the pin can land in *any* angle. This is similar to those problems where we pick a real number, say, between $0$ and $1$. Since there are an infinite number of points possible, we use the length of the desired set instead. Answering this question might help: What is the length of a point? What is the combined length of two points?
