Math Transition Courses

Course Description

The Math Transition Courses are meant to help international students (especially those from China) get ready to study math in the United States. In many cases, an international student may have already been exposed to many of the math concepts and ideas in a course, but need time to adjust to the different ways problems and solutions are presented.

Each of our transitional courses below covers standard high school curriculum at an accelerated pace, so students get accustomed to learning math in English. This can help them when taking placement exams and also when they take a more advanced course.

Registration and Tuition

This course covers topics normally taught in a first high school algebra course.

The first course meeting is Saturday December 1st, 2018 at 8 AM Beijing Time. The course will meet weekly for a total of 25 classes. Each class is 75 minutes.

This course covers topics normally taught in a high school geometry course.

The first course meeting is Sunday December 2nd, 2018 at 8 AM Beijing Time. The course will meet weekly for a total of 25 classes. Each class is 75 minutes.

This course covers topics normally taught in a second high school algebra course.

The first course meeting is Saturday December 1st, 2018 at 8 AM Beijing Time. The course will meet weekly for a total of 25 classes. Each class is 75 minutes.
