For 5.21, it says Write the parabola y=2x216x+35y=2x2−16x+35 in the form yk=a(xk)2y−k=a(x−k)2. How does the graph of the parabola compare to the graph of y=x2y=x2? (You do not need to graph both parabolas, just explain how the graphs are related.) Is it supposed to be y - k = a(x-h)^2 or  yk=a(xk)2y−k=a(x−k)2.

Hi Victoria, thanks for pointing this out. You are correct that the horizontal and vertical shifts are not necessarily the same, so we should have $y-k = a(x-h)^2$. The problem is now updated.
