for 5.23 A and B, It says they cannot share multiple toppings, does that mean they can or cannot share 1 topping?

On part (a) the pizza must have 3 different toppings. On part (b) the pizza must have 3 toppings, but it is fine if they are repeated (say chicken, more chicken, and onions).

I meant that can the two pizzas share one topping? Not if you can repeat topping on the same pizza.

The pizzas from part (a) and part (b) are independent, so yes, you could repeat toppings. In each part you want to figure out how many ways to select the toppings of one pizza.
