Math Challenge 1-C Week 5 Homework Question 5.22

I am having trouble on question 5.22 on this week's homework.  I don't know where to start or how to solve it.  The problem:

Suppose y=mx+by=mx+b and y=bx+my=bx+m are perpendicular lines. Find these lines if both have an xx-intercept of x=1x=1.

Hi Chris!

Recall that if two lines are perpendicular, their slopes are opposite reciprocals. Therefore, m = -1/b, or b = -1/m. You can solve for the equation of the line using (1, 0) as a point because you are given that both lines have x-intercepts of x=1.
