I am not sure what theorem 6.25 is talking about. Is it the one in 6.24?

Look on the page where it introduces the Binomial Theorem.  John skipped the Multinomial version of it, remember?

What is question 6.25 actually asking though? Is it related to 6.24, or is it something different?

Question 25 wants you to show a proof of the multinomial theorem, which is in the first page of the chapter (in your book).
